History was made on the 1st of January, 2020 when some young men and women whose ancestral roots evolved from Uselu community far in the ancient city of Benin kingdom. These were people who share same ideology of giving back to the community that produced and have made them notable personality in the global world. Indeed UHDI, or Uselu Humanity Development Initiative, often known internationally as Uselu to the World was born. It is an international humanitarian organization formed by the founder and co-founders to address some pressing issues within Uselu community and its environs such as:
- Promoting Girl Child Education
- Complete abolition of Female Genital Mutilation
- Eradication of Human Trafficking to the greatest minimal

Being a member is free, however you can donate as a non-member. Please specify a contact name and email when you donate, in case we need to do a refund.
You can donate as little as N1 and get the same level of choice, transparency and feedback that is traditionally reserved for someone who gives millions of Naira.
Whatever is necessary to advance the organization’s mission. There is no set percentage that would indicate that one nonprofit is run any more effectively than another. Overhead costs are investments in necessary infrastructure, including rent, paying staff, replacing old computers, etc. A better gauge of an efficient nonprofit is its impact in the community.
There is no set amount that is right, or wrong. A nonprofit is like any other employer and needs to pay competitive wages to attract and retain quality employees. As nonprofits work to improve communities, they require leaders and staff with the right skills and expertise to accomplish the nonprofit’s mission. It is the responsibility of the Board of Directors to evaluate and set appropriate compensation for the Executive Director of the organization.
You can check with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and Special Control Unit Against Money Laundering (SCUML) using the CAC number as reference which will help you confirm whether the organization is recognized as tax-exempt by the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
